What's GDM?
Tired of paying for collision and comprehensive insurance that you rarely even use? Welcome to GDM! A revolutionary alternative to traditional collision and comprehensive coverage!
Does GDM have a proven track record?
Rest assured! Some of the biggest VCs, including Ribbit Capital and Hedosophia (the same investors behind Spotify, SpaceX, Robinhood, and Coinbase), have made significant investments in GDM. Why? Because our tech-driven model is opening the door to significant savings for members—transforming safe drivers into smart savers.
What should I do if I’m in an accident?
Don't worry, we make it easy! Just open the GDM App → click the 'Report an Incident' button → then upload a few quick details. An advisor will contact you and guide you through the rest of the process!
If a third party is liable for my vehicle loss in an at-fault state, can I submit a sharing request?
First, be sure to obtain the at-fault party's insurance information and seek compensation from their insurer. If there are additional accidental damages not covered, you can submit a sharing request with GDM to help cover the gap.
How do I save with GDM?
Saving with GDM is simple! GDM operates similarly to mutual aid, where, after a small service fee, you only contribute to actual accident costs, saving the rest! This model allows some accident-free members to save up to 40% of their original quote!
What is the pledge amount?
Your pledge amount is 80% of your quote—(the other 20% is the service fee) - this is the portion you're committing to share with the community for accidental cost needs. In reality, most good drivers who remain accident-free may save up to half of their pledge amount!
What if I want to cancel my plan?
No hard feelings! Cancel anytime in the GDM app. If you cancel before your plan starts, you'll automatically receive a full refund of your service fee.
Since I’m contributing to others' accidental costs, can I view the details of each eligible event?
Absolutely! Once repair costs are incurred, you can view details of each eligible event on the GDM app. The public announcement period runs for 7 days every Monday, allowing you to see photos and, in some cases, shop invoices (with all personal information anonymized).
Do I meet the qualifications to join GDM?
Want to join GDM? Most cars and drivers in the US are eligible, but there are a few criteria to keep in mind, such as your vehicle's eligibility and accident history. To find out, simply download the GDM app and get a free quote!
How does GDM make sure my personal information is safe?
Great question! The GDM App encrypts all your personal information and secures it with a 6-digit PIN that you set yourself.
What happens if my payment method doesn't have enough funds for weekly sharing?
Let's avoid that! But if, for any reason, your payment method declines the small weekly sharing amount, we'll notify you via email and provide a 14-day Grace Period to resolve the issue. If the payment is not cleared within 14 days, it will be considered a voluntary withdrawal from the plan.
Why are there multiple announcements for a single eligible event?
Repairing cars is like solving a puzzle—sometimes hidden damage appears after the work begins. We update costs as needed based on additional repairs and may occasionally hold a second sharing if necessary.
